Over the last 50 years especially, Western acoustic instruments themselves have failed to adapt, and are perhaps in danger of becoming fossilised (quotation by Patrick Ozzard-Low). The Rezon is a concept which demonstrates a tendency in the evolution of acoustic instruments, as much in sounds which an instrument can perform, as in the techniques of playing it. The instrument is focused on a microtonal scales (richer tonal spectrum), which provides a new harmony of contemporary acoustic music compositions. It has 2 octaves and 15 tones per octave. It can be played in four predicted ways, while others are left to the creativity of a musician.
