Walking/resting cane / Walking/resting cane

For this project, I focused on the case of the elderly. After much thought, I realized the material they have at their disposal would do with a face-lift without taking away its functional aspect as it allows them to live independently.
During the observation phase I noticed an elderly lady who was using a cane to walk. Except after every couple of steps she would lean against a wall to rest.
This coincidence inspired me with ideas that could improve every day life for the elderly, amongst which was my walking stick.
The idea behind the project was to provide the user with extra comfort during the walk and with the possibility of resting.
