A book full of stories, photographs and illustrations about the Favela Morro do Papagaio in Brazil. Personal impressions and experiences as well as general information about the life of almost 40.000 people at Morro do Papagaio are the content of the 17 chapters. Each of them started with an introductionary text to be followed by sequences of images. The ribbons at the spine match the chapters colours and arise from afro-brasilian culture, where they serve as a lucky charm.
About 100 pages of photography pull the observer into the coloured world of Favela, which in addition to its dark side is also very beautiful and above all fascinating.
