Compared with conventional brakes, the SEP racing bike brake has a very compact design. Its braking power which is generated by a pulley is very high despite the short brake brackets. The two-dimensional design of the U-shaped surface fits the material properties of carbon and makes it possible to manufacture the brake in a simple and cost efficient way. The mechanical parts are made of brushed aluminium and provide a visual contrast. The brake has a well-defined chamfer and thus provokes a strong feeling of security.
