sandspuren / interactive table for museum

An interactive archeological table for multimedia-based discovery of informations about artefacts. (cf. the concept of experimental archeology). Digital medias are combined with analogue components as sand, brush, printed timeline and an excavation ground level. Virtual finds can be digged out in real sand. By cleaning them with the brush from their digital dirt you can explore the historical context and the function of the objects: the sand pixel generate outlined pictures and text, also acoustic information can be retrieved. Finally the complete analysed artefacts are tagged digital on the ground level.
