Music learning culture among children in the Singapore context: At a piano school, parents send their children for piano lessons. It is usually a parent-driven decision, although exceptions do occur. Learning the piano is the most popular choice as compared to other instruments. Generally, they have high expectations for their children. Hence, most parents are anxious about their childrens progress. From our observations, most parents peek into classrooms through glass windows for some sense of relief and better understanding. Using this as inspiration, we designed a device called the peeper that gives the parents an ultimate experience.
