Gabbiano / Waterplane concept

Gabbiano
Gabbiano

This is a concept of air fare which brings modern passenger transport back to the waterways. Gabbiano is an aircraft with ca. 40 seats whose fuselage is designed for takeoff and landing on water. Furthermore the fuselage offers an independent ascending force while the aircraft is in the air which reduces the energy consumption severly.
The concept is based on the problem of increasing air traffic in large cities and the concluding extensions of airports which has great consequences for our environment. Gabbiano offers mobile terminals which can be built up seasonally to compensate higher traffic on special occasions, e.g. exhibitions.
