The Surveillance Map of the World is an interactive mobile installation. It is based on the global surveillance report from Privacy International. The viewer uses his/her mobile phone to navigate around the projected map which is created out of thousands of symbols that stand for the global surveillance issues. The density of the symbols generates the surveillance level, which allows the user to compare the countries, surveying the surveillance in operation. This experience become all the more striking when they click on their own location and view themselves as the surveillance target in real time.
