GUARDIAN / Ad hoc rescue-network

GUARDIAN
GUARDIAN

GUARDIAN can be used as a central networking-tool for indoor fire-fighting operations.
Relief units are constrained in their orientation and communication by extreme circumstances, like heat and smoke.
Walls interfere signals and fire-fighters often have to feel around for their way.
Progressing through the building, single units can easily be placed to establish a digital rescue-and transmission-line. As part of this network, sensors monitor the surrounding area and secure a return path. This network assures a safe transmission of communication just as a reliable localization of fire-fighters and fire victims.
