The removal of chewing gum from streets costs municipalities in Germany an estimated 900 million euros each year. This is the starting point for the thesis which encompasses the creation of communication concepts to prevent such spitting out of chewing gum. The communication campaign is particularly dedicated to the problems surrounding chewing gum, but brings to the focus of the general public the overall theme of cleanliness and environmentally-compatible waste disposal systems. The book comprises 105 communication concepts with a total of 163 placards, 12 concepts for the street and 22 drafts for the design of dustbins.
