People with kidney failure who cant receive a transplant have to do dialysis, usually 3 times per week in a clinic for 5 hours. Home hemodialysis is becoming an alternative. However, existing machines on the market are designed for hospital use, being complex and time consuming to set up and have a medical appearance. This project proposes a user-friendly hemodialysis unit that blends into the home, with safety, simplicity and comfort in mind. The unit gives patients the freedom to perform dialysis in the comfort of their homes in an easier and faster way, giving them more independence and flexibility.
