Arriving in a foreign country, hundreds of new impressions, smells and flooding emotions come over me. I only perceive fragments and let myself drift. Observing some natives taking a night-bath in the warm sea, I realize the fascinating foreignness? and strangeness of the country. In the special atmosphere of darkness and humid mist the ordinary activity of bathing becomes mysterious. The view upon the vastness of the sea, which you probably expect, is extremely limited by the thick mist. The noise is absorbed, the contours are blurred and the people act isolated as on a stage/in front of a scenery.
