INTERNALLY DISPLACED / Book, Sign System and Posters

INTERNALLY DISPLACED
INTERNALLY DISPLACED

Today the media overwhelm us with various images of diverse crises. After the consumption of hundreds of those images – shocking as it is – they all seem equal. INTERNALLY DISPLACED is a graphical approach to describe the war in Darfur. Through a detailed sign system the viewer visually experiences what the situation in Sudanese refugee camps is like. Darker shades of a logo indicate a lack of clean water, food or shelter. An animated version gives an idea of the time flow, while the DARFUR FACTBOOK and the posters provide actual numbers. The work is completed by the book INTERNALLY DISPLACED giving background information about the crisis.
