Parasitism, a type of relationship between organisms. Parasits benefits from a close association with its host. The host is the stool BENJAMIN, its an Ikea product. The parasits are first the 4 different types of backrests. Secondly parasits are the links between the BENJAMINS to become a book/magazine shelf. The value of BENJAMIN increases, for example a simple stool become a dining chair or get a second use to collect, show, store books, magazines, accessoires, whatever. A massproduct become a more personal, more individual product. The aim is its name: filling gaps! The target group adapts to the host: Ikea customers, Ikea enthusiasts.
