STEM is an alternative vehicle concept designed for urban use and covering short distances like shopping-tours, commuter traffic or the way to work. It provides the possibility of carrying small loads in the case module at the front of the vehicle. As the main drive the engine is powered by electric energy, which is stored in lithium-based accumulators of newest technology. Charging of the vehicle happens by the plug-in principle and can be done by applying it to a standard power socket. Public intended purposes of use are realized by an additional infrastructure of rental stations installed throughout the city in order to enable urban trips.
