Sil Va Dere / Walking harvester

Sil Va Dere
Sil Va Dere

The walking harvester Sil Va Dere is realising a novel kind of movement on sensitive forest soils. The patented, non-bionical movement enables a high degree of versatile mobility without any slope or extensive consolidations. The movement with a stepping distance of up to 8 m is performed by a transversable and segmentable bridge between two footprints, that are strained alternating by a movable cabin. The machine concept Sil Va Dere gots a deadweight of 7.5 tons and is acting in up to 400 qm workspace; compared to existing forestmachines with a deadweight up to 55 tons the concept is a first alternative for the problemspace forestsoil.
