SYMBIOSIS / Architectural Project Type

SYMBIOSIS aims to create a symbiotic environment where the retired elders and the animals—especially retired zoo animals, surplus animals from zoo breeding program, disabled/injured animals, lab animals, abandoned animals—can create mutual dependency. Elders will gain motivational benefits, emotional comfort, sense of responsibility, hence sense of importance, from the animal care-taking process. The proposed symbiotic environment attempts to respond to the social issues caused by the fast-aging population worldwide while seeking for a humanistic solution for the well being of animal groups that were neglected or forgotten.
