Atlantis / jewellry

Bracelet made from recycled glass (very small pieces) and Sterling Silver, with a shape inspired by the myth of the city of Atlantis, as described by Plato. This greek philosopher wrote about a wealthy city, which was formed by concentric rings of water and land.

This piece is made using simple technics of "fusing" (for the glass) and silversmithing. It requires only a glass oven and a few silversmithing tools. Although the recycled material is something considered cheap, the piece acquires great value for its beauty, originality and connection to the environmental cause.
