Discipline: Material

TIFIX is a unique concept for a connection of a bone screw with an osteosynthesis plate. The optimized design of a narrowing in the plate hole is combined with suitable combinations of pure titanium material from different oxidation levels. This allows a cold-formed deformation by setting the conical thread into the plate under variable tilt angles. This strong connection is based on form congruence, force locking, and material binding. Safety is guaranteed by a cold welding process of the two titanium surfaces. The special combination of material selection plus optimized product design provides outstanding benefit and safety in orthopedics.
