The HVR-Z7 is the world’s first bayonet-mount, interchangeable-lens handheld video camera. The grip is slanted on the lens’ block side to successfully obtain the optimum grip and weight balance. Tilted placement of the cassette deck adds to the compactness of the camera body, while offering an optimum grip position. The reliability, functional beauty and advanced performance of a “professional tool” are expressed in a well-thought-out, logical layout and design for the operating system. This camera also delivers simultaneous, hybrid recording onto tape as well as Compact Flash, greatly reducing editing time.
