The IBM HS12 blade is designed to work within IBM BladeCenters. It is a uniprocessor blade that offers the same uptime and availability features as dual-processor servers. The blade architecture helps reduce power and cooling costs to boost data center efficiency. The HS12 blade provides users with consistent, simple usability and a wide range of processor options and drives. It offers a choice of single, dual, or quad-core processors, and carries six memory DIMMs up to 24 GB. The HS12 has storage flexibility with up to two internal drives that can support hot-swap solid state, hot-swap SAS, or fixed SATA drives.
