The clue of the "dreher" is the mechanic function of twisting two beveled cylinders. This causes a linear movement which we use to switch the gears of the hubgear. The movement also displays the current gear.
The idea of the klickbox bases also on two beveled cylinders.
The bowden cable is fixed on the inner part, the hub pin on the outer one. Shifting into the second and third gear, the inner cylinder turnes and pushes the outer part connected with the hub pin away.
