We are constantly confronted with death in the media, without the majority of us experiencing any lasting effect from it. Yet when we come into personal contact with death, we usually react with shock and helplessness. As a designer, how can I initiate a debate about the taboo subject of death? I want to stimulate an interest in tackling the issue of mortality, thereby helping the public to rediscover the words for dying, death and mourning. You can browse through real-life and fictitious scenarios that explore different aspects. Readers are given the opportunity to take a closer look and are encouraged to consider some uncomfortable topics
