A very personal gift was to be created for the 60th birthday of a businessman; a gift he could send to all of his business partners, clients, friends, acquaintances and relatives. The solution took the form of a book that focuses on the number 60 in an entertaining manner and combines the general with the personal. Six chapters illustrate what happened on the day and in the year of the sender's birth and, in addition to providing these personal facts, show other meanings associated with the number 60. The concept of the book aims to surprise with an unexpected mixture of mathematics, history and stories; it combines images and figurative graphics with sophisticated texts. The book has a Japanese binding and is printed in six colors throughout. Two solid colors of neon-red and gold combined with a number of other oddities like blind stamps, punches and transparent pages serve to appropriately present the unusual content.
