The idea behind this innovative concept is to ease a child’s stay in hospital. The idea of a medically virtual “me” is crystallised in the form of a handheld unit. This virtual “me” is intended to relieve a child’s fear of medical indications, to make these more transparent and easier to understand and to offer them additional information on the anatomy and medical procedures, in a similar way to the bestseller “Der kleine Medicus” from Dietrich H.W. Grönemeyer. An additional use exists in the ability to reward the small patient after an examination, with something similar to conditioning.
