LeapFrog helps children with impaired mobility to rise and stand from a seated position, allowing them to learn and practice walking. Using gas springs, it automatically provides partial uplift when the child tries to stand, and also folds into a chair when it tries to sit. This frees caregivers from the chore of repeatedly carrying the child in and out of the walker between walking and resting. This enables the child to practice more often, and interact more with his environment and people around him. This gentle system gives the child a sense of independence, achievement and self-worth. Its fun and toy-like aesthetics help to integrate it into society. The jury: thought trough and intelligent design.
