The innovative package for organic milk consists of biodegradable thermoplastics which are supposed to accentuate the naturalness of the product.
In this context, the combination of characteristics of the material and function posed the particular challenge.
The seal is based on the characteristic of the materials tension. The package is opened and closed by releasing and applying the tension of the material. The state of the milk is communicated through a freshness-index which is integrated in the material of the package. If the milk is past its fitness for consumption, this is signalled by the freshness-index changing its colour.
