Watch is a device that precisely display time, but the relation between time and human is much more obscure. Time is temporarily revealed at the moment we look into our watch; at other moment, we may vaguely feel the existence of time, however you can never sense it for certain. This concept project focuses on this view and reinterpret the relationship between human, watch and time.
Liquid with high surface tension is ideal to express the fluidity of time, and the best material to use is ferrofluid. Ferrofluid is a liquid which can be controlled by magnetic field, thus an array of electromagnet can arrange the ferrofluid to display time.
