Qi / wardrobe

My goal was to transfer the style and especially the essence of Chinese painting onto a furniture. I was inspired by the Chinese artist Qi Baishi whose paintings affect the audience emotionally with few brushstrokes.
Derived from that, reduction and emotion are the main characteristics of my furniture.
White painted multiplex-boards will form the basis of my wardrobe. Shaped wood elements leave the plain and white surface to reveal organic material underneath it and therefore create the emotional aspect to the minimalist form.
