The intention for this book was to show how progress occurs. It locates newness between essentialls and triviality, between social affairs and commerce. The new is understood to be the instrument of modern society whose aim is progress. After extensive research of data that describe change an progress, the conclusions were presented graphically. The result is a subjective attempt that demonstrates in form of a map how new things come into the world and grow, what dierections they take and where innovations accumulate.
