At first view, there is no difference between Doppelkopf-hammers and usual ones. Both of them have two different sides. The convex area of one hammer side is negative on the other side. So it represents the additional figure. Hitting with both sides on one point, you will receive individual printings, which are always different because you seldom hit the same mark twice. Your accuracy can be easily tested in a contest with your friends. The best result is produced by hitting precisely the mark twice.
