Meister Eder / stool

Meister Eder

The idea of a stool that unfolds from the floor was the starting point for this design. We developed an initially flat object. As a result of its geometrical form it folds up as a stool as soon as the tension of a hidden rubber band is released. The flat shape suddenly springs open and gets a three dimensional shape. While the stool stays flexible in one direction so that it can be folded up immediately, it becomes stable when turned to the side.
