The LTR is used when the sniffer dog is not able to continue his search for dead bodys at the water surface. There are no falsifications of the location of the dead body based on drift or wind because the diving robot is searching beneath the water surface. Using its smelling nano-surface the LTR can follow the smell-track until it reaches the dead body. The application areas are lakes and rivers with moderate drift in zones which are free of aquatic plants. The difficulties of the conventional search are eliminated because outside influences like visibility conditions, the dogs motivation and period of assignment no longer have any effect.
