£used Plug / Household Plug

£used Plug
£used Plug

£used is a plug that aims to reduce domestic electricity use by making people aware of the financial implications of their current energy usage habits.
Each plug shows the projected cost of an appliance if it was used in its current state for a year. It monitors the electro-magnetic force induced and outputs this as an estimated price per year of that appliance at that rate of use. This value changes with the amount of electricity used.
Hopefully, a better understanding of the relative costs of electrical appliances will encourage the development of more sustainable usage patterns; where people will use less in order to pay less.
