We have all been there: The battery is empty and takes hours to recharge. Moreover, after 500 recharge cycles, it has reached the end of its life and
requires special disposal. Now, a high-availability, natural, people-friendly technology has been developed and implemented in the prototype of a 9V battery with unusual features: Rechargeable in 25 (!) seconds, it can power portable equipment for four hours. The lifespan is in excess of 100,000 recharge cycles or more than ten years. The storage material has been known for a long time. It is just being used in an unconventional way. A green product for a variety of applications.
