Often, the only way to check the temperature of the water in a bath tub is to put your hand or even foot into it. This can be an unpleasant experience, or in some cases dangerous. Square LED pads and a thermal sensor are incorporated into the surface of the LED Tub to indicate the temperature of the water. These pads can display several different colours, with red indicating hot water and blue indicating cold water. Other colours or shades are used for temperatures within these too extremes, for example green for a medium temperature. The LEDs can also be set to flash as a warning that the bath water has reached a dangerous temperature.
