Adopt-a-PHC / Supporting COVID warriors

Centre for Wildlife Studies launched the Adopt-a-PHC program in response to the devastating second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic in rural India. The project focuses on supporting community frontline workers and medical staff of Primary Healthcare Centres/PHCs with essential personal protective equipment. In 12 weeks we have provided medical aid to >500 PHCs around 28 wildlife reserves, which serve an estimated 3000 villages in rural parts of Karnataka and Goa. We have donated 423810 masks, 10655 PPE-kits, 28456 face-shields, 14315 oximeters, 3480 thermometers, 2465 blood-pressure monitors, 22088 sanitizers and 46 oxygen-concentrators.
