MusiCode / Musical programming toy


There are now many programming toys on the market designed for healthy children. However, there is a dearth of appropriate tools for young learners with mixed visual abilities to engage with computational learning. This is an educational inequity. Addressing this gap, we present MusiCode, a tangible programming toy for visually impaired children. With MusiCode they could compose a track using computational thinking by putting physical code together. When children hit the keyboard, the results of the program are fed back in the form of music.
