Statistics show that more than 2 billion pounds of fresh fruit a year can't be sold because it's ugly. Consumer' s prejudice against ugly fruit and vegetables leads to a serious waste problem. In order to alleviate it, we propose this "Ugly Fruit Rescue Plan", which is to design a system integrating space, street pop-up and supporting APP to influence consumer’s acceptance of ugly fruit and vegetables, reduce the waste of them, and finally contribute to the sustainable food system.
