Deutsche See / Fish box

Deutsche See

Discipline: Interior Architecture

Discipline: Interior Architecture

A fish crate is grey, angular and stinks of fish – a lifeless freight container - normally. This fish box carries fresh fish like a swaying slice of the ocean swathed in ice, from the fishing net to the shopping basket. The box is doing things differently and better: from the stacking system to the fish-friendly fluid interior to the temperature monitoring and after-freezing functions – from the label section to the meltwater cascades, from the volume reduction to the conveyer belt compatibility. Not surprisingly, these features have been patented. Above all else this box is a genuine showroom for fresh fish. Emptied, the showroom retains the salty fragrance of the sea.
