Whilst researching inclusive design, I noticed that often the most effective products at improving inclusivity were the ones that aimed to improve the quality of life for everyone. A good example of this is how smart speakers have improved accessibility for many users. By using voice controls, users with limited mobility or visual and/or hearing impairments can use applications that can benefit them. This means that they can easily check the weather, listen to music, etc., without the need to use a smartphone. An area not often focused on is the office environment, which is an area that I feel needs improved accessibility, this was my goal.
