With increasing population, rapid urbanization and technology advances, the vision of Mars colonization may become reality in the future. To construct sustainable cities and communities on Mars, the issue of resource development never escapes. We often imagine using materials brought from the Earth for recycling, but it seems necessary to pick up a sustainable way in the long term. Stardrill is a polar resource exploitation rig under future life on Mars, it can dig through miles of ice cap to pump up the underground water and perform a series of process in order to obtain pure water and raw materials for generating oxygen.
