Energie Baden-Württemberg AG (EnBW) presented the topic of renewable energy at Hannover Messe 2007 including an exhibit on geothermal energy. Visitors boarded a geothermic cube in which an elevator ride to the center of the earth was simulated via vibrations, noise, lighting effects and other visual impressions. A rapid series of images were projected on the walls via scrolling, depicting materials in the earths interior. The elevator stopped at simulated depths of 130, 2,500 and 5,000 meter below the earths surface. Here the visitor was informed of the respective energy potential and the relevant applications via superimposed text as well as narration.
