OTO The hugging chair / Well-being for autistic people

OTO The hugging chair
OTO The hugging chair

OTO integrate an innovative hugging mechanism in an aesthetic piece of furniture. This hugging function is designed for the well-being of autistic people and help them to face sensory integration disorders. The hug chair has walls that tighten to put deep pressure on the body. The embrace allows to feel the limits of your body and focus on sensory information. These pressures soothe, reduce tension and make people with autism feel better in their environment. OTO The chair was co-designed with autistic people and medico-educational team. The chair has been designed for and by its users to create a product that is useful, usable and utilized.
