Aftermath of August 4, 2020 Beirut Port blast was tragic; where over 220 died and 6,500 got injured as well as some 300,000 were left homeless, including 100,000 children.
With its Immediate Emergency Response Team, INSAN intervened and provided food security, hygiene assistance, shelter provision, baby protection, emergency cash and psychosocial support to affected individuals in 5 highly affected neighbourhoods and mobilized alternative outreach tools such as INSAN Mobile Unit that distributed 1,500 daily hot meals and 500 daily street food portions for two months and psychosocial support for 900 traumatic individuals.
