MĀJAS / wild bee hive

MĀJAS is a nesting aid for wild bees of all kinds. With its striking shape, it is deliberately designed to cause a disturbance in the viewer‘s field of vision and so draw attention to itself. The white color stands out from the natural environment and the colors of the forest and supports the appearance of its shape. This disruption aims at the natural curiosity of humans and requires a confrontation with the object and thus the topic of extinction of wild bees. The built-in nesting aids consist of natural materials and so offer optimal nesting circumstances. The moss wall functions the bees as a drinking through without any risk of drowning.
