Red de Alimentos (RED) is a sustainable and high-impact solution to food waste. The first food bank in Chile, is an innovative non-profit organization, rescuing food suitable for human consumption, efficiently distributed to those who need it most, avoiding their waste. RED is a bridge between those who have products and those who need them, with a triple impact:
Social: Distribute rescued food to those who need them most.
Environmental: Avoid greenhouse gases released when food is destroyed, which is measured in tons of CO2 avoided.
Economic: Along with the food, the waste of all inputs used in production is avoided: water, land, energy.
