A Sustainable School in Mar Chiquita, Argentina / Argentina’s first sustainable public school

A Sustainable School, located in Mar Chiquita, Argentina, is a public school 100% auto-sustaining, constructed in 2018 by NGOs Amartya and Tagma using principles of Earthship Biotecture. It is an educational space and a replicable model made in 45 days by 250 volunteers. In one year it received 30000 visitors and inspired 200 similar projects in Latin America. The school was built from natural and repurposed materials and self-sufficient for water, heat, and sanitation while also producing food through systems that function in organic, circular processes mirroring those of our planet.
