It is little known that Christian Dior, until his death, had only ten creative years to leave his imprint on his house. Twenty collections were created during this time. He was one of the first to recognize the marketing possibilities inherent in fashion – this already starts with subsuming a collection under a resounding motto. The fulminant introduction to the book celebrates these names typographically and sets the standard for the luxurious layout of the book.
