Pink Bench / Urban architecture

Pink Bench
Pink Bench

Discipline: Interior Architecture

Discipline: Interior Architecture

The light concept was developed and realized for buildings and parts of
buildings which were in the dark up to now. The concept was developed to
raise a new awareness of a neglected urban space.
Location: Martinistraße 26, 28195 Bremen, headquarters of a health insurance
(between “Schlachte” and the river “Weser”)
Bench: zinc/wood lacquered
The Pink Bench is a serpentine 27 meter long function sculpture: the reverse side
can be used as bicycle parking.
The form was developed out of the human spinal column. The curved line
management serves as a visual highlight of a public square.
